Hello,
I'm Tom Newman Sr. from the great state of Ohio. I have been happily
married for twenty six years to Judy and have three children Samantha,
Casey and Sean. I thank God every day for the loving wife I have,
who supports me in all my endeavors, and sacrifices her time so that I
may fulfill my passion for hunting.
I began hunting at the early age of ten with my father. He is now 88 years old and we still manage to hunt together, but not as much as I would like to. He was always there to take me hunting as a youngster, and now I want to take him as he did me. During my early years I hunted with a rifle in Pennsylvania, and shotgun in Ohio. This served me well as after high school I enlisted into the Marines and went to Vietnam. With the grace of God I returned home safely. After coming home
from Vietnam I had lost the desire to hunt until I met a man that changed
my whole outlook on hunting. His name was Herman Dockery, and so
began my bow hunting adventures. I knew this was going to be a challenge,
and it still is today. I began by taking whatever might wander by,
be it a doe or small buck, and eventually became more selective.
Over the 35 plus years that I have hunted with a bow, I have taken many
whitetails, including this bruiser in 2006.
